PR Women to Follow on Twitter in 2011

PR Diva was looking for new and fresh faces for our PR Women to Follow on Twitter in 2011. We received so many great recommendations and we are happy to share eleven Women in Public Relations to Follow in 2011. Look forward to Part 2 of this list to follow shortly!

@nhmediaprgirl – Natasha Huang, founder of NH Media, lives and breathes social media. With a passion for giving back to the community and marathons, she is also a self-proclaimed laugher and talker. Natasha is a must-follow. Her tweets connect other Twitterers and she is a PR force to reckoned with.


@ReneeKellyGirl – Renee Kelly is an admirable public relations professional with “PR in her blood”. Formerly a publicist for National Geographic, Renee is Deputy Director of Media Relations for a PR firm in Washington, D.C and handles the publicity for Red Cross’s headquarters in D.C. She tweets about PR jobs, her pitches or stories that she working on for national outlets, social events, and entertainment.


@tarasolomon Tara Solomon is Principal of TARA, Ink. Public Relations Tara tweets about a multitude of different things and as the “mistress of modern culture” and aficionado of fashion, food, beauty, travel, nightlife, art, and design, you can expect to be entertained and informed!



@pgeorgieva – Bulgarian born, Petya Georgieva is a PR specialist and the woman behind the Higher and Higher, a blog about communications and PR. She is in love with life and extremely interested in communications, advertising, psychology, writing, reading, traveling and exploring the world. Her tweets are informative and she is always offering positive and enthusiastic advice to her followers. Her zest for life shows in her blog and her tweets!


@prdivarach - Rachel is not only a PR Diva but a “public relations rebel” and “social media maven”! An Account Coordinator with @FishConsulting, PR + ♥ = Life for Rachel and it shows in her tweets which range from connecting her followers through her charming Twit-troductions and inspirational rants “Who is going to change the world today!”.


@clairecelsi – Claire Celsi is the Public Relations Princess and is truly passionate about public relations and social media. As President of the Public Relations Project, a PR and social media consulting firm in Des Moines, Iowa, and Contributing Editor to Ragan’s PR Daily News, Claire is on top of all communications and social media trends and issues. Feel free to connect with her about anything from politics, news, and social media!


@misssuccess Sakita Holley is CEO of @hos_pr, a New York-based public relations and  brand management firm. Did we mention she is also a blogger extraordinaire? Her blog www.sakitaholley.com gives ideas and advice about PR, branding, and overcoming life’s obstacles. Her tweets are supportive, informative, and filled with her dry humor.

@ARich329 – Amanda Rich is a must-follow on Twitter. Amanda is an Account Manager at @fishconsulting and also blogs at Live-Laugh-Snap. Amanda is a photographer, dog lover, foodie, yogi, and running. When does she get time to tweet such informative and engaging tweets? The world may never know…

@VMarie – This young PR maven is already making her mark with her natural hunger for success. As the Public Relations specialist at the Millennial Effect, Victoria Marie is making the impossible, possible. She is also founder and CEO of L.Y.P.S.T.I.C.K., a nonprofit organization that focuses on the awareness and prevention of rape, sexual assault, and domestic violence in the Detroit metropolitan area. Her tweets are inspiring and amazing.

@CarmenOrdonez – Don’t be fooled by her Twitter account stats, Carmen Ordonez is doing the damn thing at @fishconsulting and as Founder of Viva Fashion Blog, which features the latest in trends, style tips, celebrity look for less, budget shopping and personal style.


@Chocl8fashnPR This Chanel-obsessed supermom is making big strides in public relations. A NY-based fashion PR guru (her Twitter background is of her and the infamous Karl Lagerfeld) tweets about fashion, issues in PR, and marketing. Check out her Tumblr for more of her musings.
